A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO WORK WITH
THE E911 DIRECTOR TO CORRECT PROPERTY ADDRESSES WITHIN
THE CITY LIMITS FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE SAFETY
Whereas, -The City recognizes that public safety is a priority and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that it is important that all
addresses within Tiffin's city limits should be following a coherent numbering system
and naming of location for emergency personnel;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve
and authorize the City Attorney to work with the E911 Director to correct property
addresses within the City Limits for Emergency Response Safety.
On the 11 th day of September, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Upton introduced Resolution No. 2013-165, A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO WORK WITH THE E911 DIRECTOR TO
CORRECT PROPERTY ADDRESSES WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS FOR EMERGENCY
RESPONSE SAFETY and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by
Councilperson Ryan.
Ayes: Kahler, Ryan, Bartels, Upton, Phillips
Nays: none.
Absent: none.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted ,approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2013-165, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
CITY ATTORNEY TO WORK WITH THE E911 DIRECTOR TO CORRECT
PROPERTY ADDRESSES WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS FOR EMERGENCY
RESPONSE SAFETY to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing
his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 11th day of September, 2013.
