Mr. Broeman asked if the sign at the Americana driveway was in accordance with our regulations and Mr. Webb said that type of entrance sign was covered in our sign ordinance. Mr. Beatty wanted to know if a permit had been issued for the addition to the Americana Hotel and Mr. Webb said that would not be issued until April. Mr. Beatty said he wished to go on record as being opposed to the Village granting a permit for this addition and in his opinion the use of the convention hall for parking is not valid and circumvents our regulations. He stated that he thinks we have a bad parking situation in the hotel district and this will accentuate the situation. Mr. Ander— son said that Mr. Beatty was entitled to his opinion, but that the Village would be liable for a law suit if the permit was not granted. In his opinion, the parking regulations meet our ordi— nance requirements.
