Marie Williams feeds breakfast to Babe on recent morning.
Have you ever heard of a fox
that ate out of your hand? Just
such an animal appears twice dai-
ly at the door of Tom and Marie
Williams, a Nampa couple that
has a home in the Edwards Ranch
Subdivision along Cascade Reser-
voir.
The red fox, called Babe by
Marie, appeared earlier this year
and came close enough by Easter
to eat meat scraps from Marie's
hand.
A second fox has been coming
by the house, but so far has not
been brave enough to draw close.
"If I didn't have my big dog, I
think she'd camp here," Marie
said of Babe. "She follows you
around like she was a puppy."
Neighbors feed Babe when the
Williams are in the valley. By the
way, it is illegal to hunt foxes in
the area.
