SUBJECT: PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION ACTIONS — SPECIAL
MEETING OF OCTOBER 15, 2014
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the actions from the Special Joint
Meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission and Planning Commission of October
15, 2014.
BACKGROUND:
On October 15, 2014, the Parks and Recreation Commission and Planning
Commission held a Special Joint Meeting.
ANALYSIS:
Following is a summary of actions taken at the October 15, 2014 Special Joint Meeting:

Parks and Recreation Commission:
Present: Commissioner - Fish, Georgino, Lopez, Vice -Chairman Rosso,
Chairman Haddad
Absent: Commissioner - None
Excused: Commissioner - None
Plannina Commission:
Present: Commissioner - O'Leary, Vice -Chairman Curran, Chairman Leung
Absent: Commissioner - None
Excused: Commissioner - Cordes, Horton

2. NEW BUSINESS
A. REVIEW OF PARK IMPACT FEE NEXUS STUDY AND QUIMBY LAND
DEDICATION REQUIREMENT AND IN -LIEU FEE STUDY
The Parks and Recreation Commission and Planning Commission received
an overview of the Park Impact Fee Nexus Study and Quimby Land
Dedication Requirement and In -Lieu Fee Study from SCI Consulting Group.
After discussion, both Commissions recommended a draft ordinance be
developed for future consideration.
CONCLUSION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file this report.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2014-15 City Budget.
