Leesburg Town Council Invites Residents’ Questions About
Proposed FY 2014‐2015 Budget
Leesburg, VA (February 27, 2013) – At the Town Council meeting last night, Leesburg Town
Manager John Wells presented the proposed FY 2014‐2015 Budget and Capital Improvements
Program. In an effort to broaden community involvement in the budget process, the town
invites residents to submit their questions about the budget via the website.
“We know that a limited number of residents can attend Council meetings to hear the budget
presentation, or speak at the public hearings on the budget,” explained Town Manager John
Wells. “But we know people have questions about the budget, and about how and why we
make the decisions we do in preparing the budget. This new Q&A feature on the website will
allow residents to ask questions, get answers to those questions and also see the questions
other residents have asked.”
Residents can submit questions at www.leesburgva.gov/askbudget . Residents will receive
individual responses to their questions and, as appropriate, submitted questions and answers
will be posted on the website and the Town’s Facebook page
(www.facebook.com/LeesburgVirginia).
