A RESOLUTION TO CERTIFY 2014-2015 TIFFIN, IOWA TIF REVENUE REQUEST
TO THE JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA AUDITOR
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin, Iowa is required to certify the TIF Increment Tax revenue
request for fiscal year 2014-2015 to the Johnson County, Iowa Auditor per Iowa Code Section
403.19 Tax Increment Financing Indebtedness.
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin, Iowa needs to prepare and certify with the Johnson County,
Iowa Auditor's Office by December 1, 2013 the estimated amounts needed to fund
indebtedness for Capital Improvement Projects identified and approved by the City Council of
Tiffin within the named Urban Renewal Areas, Iowa to expend appropriated. TIF Funds as the
City Council deems necessary for the continuation of growth and betterment of the community.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL O F THE CITY OF
TIFFIN, IOWA to authorize Mayor and City Clerk to prepare and submit to the Auditor of
Johnson County, Iowa an updated 2013 TIF Certification request.
Motion made by Councilperson: Kahler and Seconded by Councilperson Bartels for approval
of RESOLUTION 2013-198 RESOLUTION TO CERTIFY 2014-2015 TIFFIN, IOWA TIF
REVENUE REQUEST TO THE JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA AUDITOR.
Aye: Kahler, Ryan, Bartels, Upton.
Nay: none
Absent: Phillips
Whereas with four votes by City Council members, Mayor Steve Berner declared Resolution
2013-198 A RESOLUTION TO CERTIFY 2014-2015 TIFFIN, IOWA TIF REVENUE
REQUEST TO THE JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA AUDITOR approved and therefore
affixes his signature.
PASSED AND APPROVED THE 13th day of November 2013.
