Meeting Minutes
The Personnel Committee met on Monday, August 4 at 7:15 PM in the Council office. Present were counselors
Susan Falkoff, chair, Cecilia Lenk, vice chair, and Stephen Corbett, secretary. Also present was auditor Tom Tracy.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss performance evaluations and cost of living salary adjustments for the
auditor and council clerk.
It was noted that both positions were due for performance evaluations and consideration for salary adjustment for
FYI 2014 and 2015. The committee reviewed and approved evaluation forms for both positions. It was voted to
distribute the forms to the council members and ask that they be completed and returned to the council president by
July 31st. Subsequently, another committee meeting will be scheduled so that a 1st reading of a salary adjustment
recommendation can be made at the august 12 council meeting.

August 12, 2014
The Committee met on August 12, 2014 at 6:30 pm in Council office to discuss cost -of -living (COLA) increases for
the Council Clerk and Town Auditor, and review the performance evaluations that were completed by Councilors.
Present were Susan Falkoff, Chair, Cecilia Lenk, Vice Chair, and Steven Corbett, Secretary. Also present were Council
President Mark Sideris and Town Auditor Tom Tracy.
President Sideris prepared composite summaries of the evaluations for both positions and presented them to the
Committee (see attached). He noted that the majority of the Councilors' evaluations were favorable. In addition,
President Sideris reminded the Committee that all Town staff who have settled their contracts, as well as the
confidential secretaries, have received COLA increases of 2.5% and 2.5% for FY14 and FY15.
Councilor Lenk made a motion to recommend to the Town Council that the Town Auditor and Town Council Clerk
receive COLA increases of 2.5% and 2.5% for both FY14 and FY15.
The motion was seconded by Councilor Corbett.
The committee voted unanimously in favor of the motion.
The Committee adjourned at 6:45 pm.
