HomeMy Public PortalAbout1991-03Member di) TY, e // introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. ,/.1 RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE TO SCOTT BERGERSON WHEREAS, Scott Bergerson (Applicant) has requested variances for the property at 325 Lakeview Road for the construction of a new kitchen; and WHEREAS, Section 825.45 of the City's Code of Ordinances and Minn. Stat. Section 462.357, require that variances from the strict interpretation of the zoning ordinance be granted only when there is a demonstrated hardship because of circumstances unique to the property; and WHEREAS, the planning commission considered the Applicant's request on December 11, 1990, and recommended approval thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Council considered the matter on January 3, 1991. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that the Applicant be grante,jd� the following variances: linz.y ,-.�i 7`..a� 1. Reduce the setback from f,ak4-Independenee from 100 feet to 97 feet; and 2. Reduce the sideyard setback from 20 feet to 16 feet, 2 inches. The hardships justifying the granting of the above variances are the size of the lot, the location of the existing house, and the consistency of the proposed addition with other development in the area. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that the above variances are granted on condition that there be no deck added to the house after the conversion of the existing deck into the kitchen and that the project be carried out in a manner consistent with the survey attached hereto as Exhibit A.
