Member Bruce Workman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 02-55
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID
FOR TRUNK HIGHWAY 55 AND WILLOW DRIVE
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the T.H. 55 and Willow Drive
intersection improvement project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law,
and the four bids listed on Exhibit A attached hereto were received and complied with the
advertisement; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Park Construction Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota is
the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. The mayor and acting clerk -treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to enter
into a contract with Park Construction Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the name of the
city of Medina for the T.H. 55 and Willow Drive intersection improvement project according to
the plans and specifications therefor approved by the city council and on file in the office of the
clerk -treasurer.
2. The clerk -treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and
the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Carolyn
Smith and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Zietlow,
Workman, Smith, Supel and Lane.
and the following voted against same: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

EXHIBIT A TO
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID
The following four bids were received and were in compliance with the approved
plans and specifications:
1. Bid by Park Construction Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the amount
of $949,451.76;
2. Bid by Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. of Buffalo, Minnesota in the amount of
$1,014,460.75;
3. Bid by C.S. McCrossan Construction of Maple Grove, Minnesota in the
amount of $1,129,262.20; and
4. Bid by G.L. Contracting, Inc. of Medina, Minnesota in the amount of
$1,218,748.90
