Assistant. Tom McLellan-740 Tubman Road-continued variance TM told the Board that the leaching pit is in failure. There was talk about the perched water table. Motion: JR-grant variance request with the submitted plan. DB seconded. 5 yes. 2. J.M. He stated that the new owner is going to be putting on an addition and doing some rearranging of the existing floor plan so the system needs to be upgraded. They are asking for the following variances: 1. To allow the SAS to be 5 feet from the west property line. 2. To allow the SAS to be 5 feet from the south property line. 3. To allow the SAS to be 16 feet from the existing foundation. 4. To allow no reserve area. Motion: DB-grant variances. AP seconded. 5 yes. 3. Richard Judd-variance request for 65 Hickory Lane RJ explained to the Board that he had done a septic inspection for the sale of the home and realized that the tank was to close to the crawl space. The variance request is to keep the septic tank 6 feet from the crawl space. Motion: AP-grant variance request. DB seconded. 5 yes. 4. Ryder &Wilcox-variance request for 54 Tubman Road KJ recused himself from this hearing. Stephanie Sequin presented this to the Board. The leaching pit is in failure. Conservation has already approved this. They are asking for the following variance: To allow the SAS and D-box to be 6 feet below finished grade Motion: DB-grant variance with Environmentally Sensitive Area conditions applying. AP seconded. 4 yes. 5. Ryder &Wilcox-appeal of Health Directors decision for 196 Winslow Landing W W W.TOWN.BREWSTER.MA.US BOH 3/2/10 Minutes Page 2 JR recused himself from this hearing. Stephanie Sequin presented this to the Board. This is an existing 3 bedroom cottage that the owners want to demolish and rebuild using the existing septic system which if from 1989. Motion: AP-approve the use of the current system for the new home. DB seconded. 3 yes. 1 no (JH). 6. Scott Schlesinger-operator for Epoch Mr. Schlesinger is no longer with the company. Steve Cushing from United Water was present to answer any questions. The Board was fine with the report and had no questions for Mr. Cushing. 7. Doug & Lorraine Johnson-failure to remove underground storage tank at 231 Old long Pond Road. Mr. Johnson stated that he had a new above ground tank installed and had the underground one emptied but has not had the money to have it removed. JH asked about a timeline to have it removed. Mr. Johnson stated probably by the end of the summer. Motion: AP-get an estimate and let the Health Dept. know the timeline for removal. Bring that to the Health Dept. within a month. DB seconded. 5 yes. 8. Neil Hurst-failure to replace single walled oil tank at 348 Freeman's Way Bob Hurst, owner was present. The Board agreed to give him until June 1St to get the tank replaced or daily fines with start. 9. Josiah Canning-427 Main Street-request for an extension to replace oil tank. The Board agreed that a new tank must be installed by the end of October 2010 10. Minutes from February 2, 2010 Motion: AP-approve minutes. JR seconded. 4 yes. 11.
