BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2010 AT 7:OOPM
TOWN HALL, ROOM B
Present: Dan Brightman, Chairman, Keith Johnson, Vice Chairman, Joanne Hughes, James Reynolds, Lem Skidmore,
Nancy Ellis Ice, Health Director and Tammi Mason, Senior Department Assistant.
Felco Engineering-variance request for 123 The Channel Way
David Lajoie presented this to the Board. The owners are proposing to tear down the existing house and rebuild. The
square footage is increasing but the number of bedrooms is not. The septic system was inspected and passed. The
Health Director has stated that a new system would have to be put in because it is new construction. DL is before the
Board to appeal the Health Director's decision.
Motion: JH-deny the appeal. LS seconded. 5 yes.
Motion: JH- when the new plans are done, if the only variance request is to have the leaching area less than 300 feet
from the pond, NI can approve it without it having to come back before the Board. JR seconded. 5 yes.
2. Ronald Cadillac-variance request for 267 Magnet Way
RC is before the Board because a basement was finished without permits and they are trying to remedy this.
Motion: JH-allow design for 4 bedrooms but require a deed restriction for 3 bedrooms. KJ seconded. 5 yes.
Robert Bailargeon-16 Birch Lane-failure to do repair on septic system
NI told the Board that Richard Judd would be getting this work taken care of.
4. Discuss Paul Daniels site assignment at lots 56 & 58 Freeman's Way
NI handed out the ACO copies to the Board. They asked that NI call DEP and check on the date of that ACO.
5. Discuss Health Director's annual review
Noted.
6. Discuss Health Director's objectives for FY X11
Suggestions were made. Keeping a watch on Daniels and Cape Sand & Recycling was a possibility. Also possibly linking
a gps with the town computer to keep track of failed systems.
7. Minutes from August 3, 2010 meeting
JR-accept minutes as written. KJ seconded. 5 yes.
8. Discuss Planning Board application for 3040-3044 Main Street
