US BOARD OF HEALTH MINUTES TUESDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2010 AT 7:OOPM =r'=1~i= ~ ~=; ~_ -' TOWN HALL, ROOM A ~Y ~~ Present: Dan Brightman, Chairman, Joanne Hughes, James Reynolds, Lem Skidmore, Nancy Ellis Ice, Health Director and Tammi Mason, Senior Department Assistant. 1. Matt Farrell-J.M. O'Reilly Associates, Inc.-informal discussion on variance issues in 1999 at 100 Seaway Road MF explained to the Board that in 1999 variances were granted to the homeowner for placement of a septic system. The owner would now like to demolish the existing home and rebuild with a new foundation. MF is asking if the variances are still valid from 1999 or would he have to reapply for them again. The owner would like to start the work this month due to cold weather coming. The Board discussed this issue. Motion: JH-grant permission to the Health Director to approve the septic plan and have MF come back for approval of the variances. JR seconded. 4 yes. 2. Minutes from September 7, 2010 Motion: JR-approve minutes as written. JH seconded. 4 yes. 3. Minutes from September 21, 2010 Motion: JR-approve minutes as written. JH seconded. 4 yes. 4. Discuss Health Director's objectives The following were proposed objectives: To ensure compliance with DEP's Administrative Consent order for Daniels/Antinarelli stump dump To ensure compliance with DEP's authorization to operate a small handing facility at CCS & R Work on integrating Health Dept. data with GIS LS suggested changing the wording on #3 to state: To work with IT to integrate Health Dept. data with town wide information including GIS and to migrate existing data that is in hard copy only. JH suggested that NI download MassChips onto her computer so she could review statistics on cancer rates on CC. Informational Items: 1. Update on Epoch from United Water `~ ~ Add on' DB talked about the boat yard on Freeman's Way and stated that he thought that something should be done to clean it up.
