MINUTES Board of Electrical Examiners and Review Jefferson City, Missouri September 6, 2017 MEMBERS PRESENT: David Steinman Chris Bruemmer Jim Gooch Sam Thomas MEMBERS ABSENT: Ray Fink Richard Green COUNCIL LIAISON PRESENT: Ron Fitzwater STAFF PRESENT: Bill Luebbert, Electrical Inspector Larry Burkhardt, Building Official The Electrical Board of Examiners and Review met September 6, 2017, in the Small Conference Room of the John G. Christy Municipal Building. The meeting was called to order by Bill Luebbert at 4:00 p.m. A quorum was present. Approval of Minutes from the June 28, 2017 Meeting A motion was made by Sam Thomas and seconded by Chris Bruemmer to approve the minutes of the June 28, 2017 meeting. Motion passed by show of hands. Review License Applications • A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by David Steinman to deny Jarryd Fleming to receive his Master License. Motion passed by show of hands. Additional documentation would be required. • A motion was made by Sam Thomas and seconded by Jim Gooch to deny Lorin Fleming to receive his Master License. Motion passed by show of hands. Additional documentation would be required. • A motion was made by David Steinman and seconded by Chris Bruemmer to allow Michael Branch to take his Journeyman exam. Motion passed by show of hands. • A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by Sam Thomas to approve Douglas Quick for his Journeyman License. Motion passed by show of hands. • A motion was made by David Steinman and seconded by Chris Bruemmer to table Paul Chandler's request for a Master License until the test score could be verified by the City of Springfield. Motion passed by show of hands. Old Business It was announced that the Electrical Board would be reduced to 5 voting members for the new fiscal year once the adoption of the new Electrical Board guidelines takes place. New Business Larry Burkhardt discussed doing a mailing in order to find all licensed electricians that are still active.
