The Council of Sal Harbour Village met'at 9*00 o'clock Saturday,
March. 15tht 1958 at the Village Hall.
There'were- preseritt Messrs. Beattyl Broeman,,Brown, Faulkner and
Hart.
Also present were W. H. Webbq Village Manager; Mary Wetterer,
Village Clerk; and Thomas H. Anderson, Village Attorney.
The minutes of the previous meeting of February 22, 1918 were
.accepted as submitted on motion of Mr. Hart and seconded by Mr. Fiulkn6r.
Mr. Webb advised, the Council that he and Mr.. Bro,6map,,1,*sa�, om-
mittee, had,negotiated with the Pan American Flag Compahy' and ':were go-
ing to contract with them for the purchase of the material for

nors Conferen6e in May. The flags and other decora-
tions: are to be purchased for about $775.00
Mr* Webb reported that the Bakers Haulov6r District and Ocean
Front Erosion matter is being held over until a meeting is held with
County Manager 0, W. Campbell and Mr. Chuck Hall. This meeting is ex-
pected to be sometime after the 20th of March, when Messrs. Faulkne . r$
Anderson and Webb will meet with Mr. 'Campbell and Mr. Hall, and three
of the ocean front owners.
Mr. Webb then showed a set of plans for the apartment to be con-
structed for the Maintenance Man, saying four sets of the plans had
been submitted to contractors for figures. This is to be reported on
further at the next Council Meeting.
Mr, Whitman from the Bal Harbour Shops, Inc. and Mr. Alec Morse
appeared before the Council together with Mr. Paul Naddeo and Phil Thai_
of the Americana Hotel to discuss the hotel parking' on the unpaved-por-
tion of the Whitman lot for special functions. The Americana Hotel re-
quested the privilege of parking on the Whitman property for a function

to 'be held April 12 #h. This was discussed, at length and upon mgtion
made by Mr. Faulkner and seconded by Mr. Hart, it.wis decided that
Mr. Whitman be permitted to allow the Americana Hotel to park on
the unpaved portion of his property for the one night of April .12th. '
The vote was unanimous.
The matter of Ordinances for Districts was tabled as Mr. Anderson
said he, had.not had sufficient time to work up the .ordinances.
Mayor'Brown- announced that the next item would be 1handled by the
Zoning Board;and,they discussed a request by Harry Tolton for a. zoning
variance._ Mr. Tolton requested that he be permitted:to screen in .his,
swimming, pool at 172 Camden Drive. This involves building over the
rear set back area a distance of 5 feet. Mr. Broeman moved and Mr.. Hart
seconded a motion that the Village Zoning Board review':Mr. Talton -:'s
pool today and take such steps .as' are ne.cessary.' Mr. Faulkner :`*As.'ap =
pointed to represent the Village.Zoning Board to go to Mr. Tol,ton's
residence,today and inspect his pool:
Mr. Webb brought up the subject of patching some paving, work
that needed to be,done.. Mr. Council told him to go ahead and�have
this work done.
There being no further business before the .Council, Mr.,Fau -1kner.
'made a motion that the- meetin g'be adjourned. Mr. Hart seconded this
motion and the meeting was adjourned.

There were present: Messrs. Beatty, Broeman, Brown and Harts.
Absent: Mr. Fred Faulkner.
Also present were W. H. Webb, Village Manager:; Mary Wetterer,
'Village Clerk; and Thomas H. Anderson Village Attorney.
The minutes'of the previous meeting of March 15, 1958 were ac-
cepted as submitted on motion'of Mr. Hart and seconded by Mr. Broeman.
Mr. Webb advised the Council that he had received three bids on the
