Brewster School Committee
Minutes of May 3, 2010
Held. at Eddy Elementary School
Chair O'Reilly called the .meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
- For the Committee: Steve Jones, John O'Reilly, Jennifer Rabold, David Telman
Marie Enochty arrived at 6:10 p.m.
- For the Administration: Richard Hoffmann, Denise Fronius, Keith Gauley, Hans
Baumhauer
- Others: Town officials, parents, interested citizens
PRIORITY BUSINESS
FY11 Budget
School Committee members reviewed the final figures for the FY11 budget and the
anticipated reductions. A strategy was planned for reporting on town meeting floor as well as
plan-for losses and replacements.
Dr. Hoffmann noted that there is $61,369 left to cut to meet the new budget target and these
cuts needs to be identified.
Chairman O'Reilly reported that the Finance Committee has endorsed the additional $16,000
~~ for the teacher for the deaf and Selectmen will vote at town meeting.
On a motion by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Telman, it was voted 3 yeas, and 1 nay (J. Rabold)
to endorse the amended amount of the budget to $5,858,061.

ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Telman, it was voted unanimously to adjourn the
meeting at 6:13 p.m.
