January 3 1944.
Regular Meeting.
Conncil met in regular session, Mayor Graham presiding,
and the following councilmen present;-
W Haack- Neil Okones- H L Luwe, and Geo Lindaman-
Mlnutes of the last meeting were read and on motion by Okones
second by Luwe, approved as read- motion carried.
A report on the test of the DrinkinFr Water was received,
read and approval acknowledged.
It was moved by Okones second by Haack that the Water Committee
find some means to rid the Water Tower from a roosting place
for Pigeons, if possible.
It was moved and seconded that R B Tjaden be notified to remove
the rubbish off the sidewalk ajoining his building.
It was moved by Haack second b Luwe that the pay for snow-
plowing be set not to exceed k5CVper hour. motion carried.
A request from the Fire Co. for pay at at}endance for
meetings was referred to the Clerk for information.
Treasurers report was received, read and ordered placed on file.
It was moved by Haack second by Luwe that the 1944 Poll tax
be suspended, On the motion the vote was a tie- the Mayor
voted in favor. The motion was carried.
The following bills were read, and on motion by Luwe second by
bkones same be allowed as read- motion carried..
