HomeMy Public PortalAbout00006REPEALED BY ORDINANCE NO. 110 O R D I N A N C E NO. 6 AN ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Executive Director to approve, revise or reject plans, designs and specifications of all sanitary works proposed to be constructed, altered or reconstructed by any other person or corporation, private or public, in the District, providing the terms upon which approval may be granted, providing for the adoption of standards by the Executive Director, authorizing the Executive Director to make field inspections and to require that the construction be done in accordance with the plans and specifications approved, and further authorizing the Executive Director to delegate the power to approve, revise or reject plans, designs and specifications, and to make field inspections to the Health Department of St. Louis County and to the Plan and Design Section of the Board of Public Service of the City of St. Louis, with an emergency clause. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director is authorized and directed to approve, revise or reject plans, designs and specifications of all sanitary works proposed to be constructed, altered or reconstructed by any other person or corporation, private or public, in the District. Section Two. The Executive Director is authorized to grant the approval provided in Section One hereof as to any such works in that part of the District lying in St. Louis County upon certification by the Health Department of St. Louis County that such plans, designs and specifications meet the minimum standards fixed by the Division of Health of the Department of Welfare of the State of Missouri. The Executive Director is further authorized to grant such approval as to any such works lying in the City of St. Louis upon certification by the Plan and Design Section of the Board of Public Service of the City of St. Louis that such plans, designs and specifications meet the minimum requirements of the City of St. Louis. Section Three. The Executive Director shall, before any acceptance of any such sanitary works, require that a field inspection thereof be made and that such field inspection shall show that such works have been installed and constructed in accordance with the plans, designs and specifications approved as hereinbefore provided. The Executive Director may accept the certification of inspection of the Health Department of St. Louis County as to any construction in St. Louis County or the certification of inspection of the Plan and Design Section of the Board of Public Service of the City of St. Louis as to any construction in the City of St. Louis that such installation and construction complies with the approved plans, designs and specifications. Section Four. The immediate construction of sanitary works being necessary in order to protect the public health of the District constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan of the District and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 14, 1954.
