HomeMy Public PortalAbout00023 O R D I N A N C E NO. 23 ORDINANCE NO. 17, adopted November 29, 1954, to establish Subdistrict Number Two of the River Des Peres Watershed is hereby repealed and the following Ordinance relating to the same subject is adopted in lieu thereof: AN ORDINANCE to establish a subdistrict in the River Des Peres Watershed, to be known as Subdistrict Number Two of the River Des Peres Watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (Vinita Park area). WHEREAS, residents of the District have filed with the Board a petition seeking the establishment of a subdistrict, and it appears to the Board that the establishment of such a subdistrict is necessary in order to furnish proper and adequate sewer service and to protect the public health, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. There is hereby established a subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to be known as Subdistrict Number Two of the River Des Peres Watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. Section Two. The boundaries of Subdistrict Number Two of the River Des Peres Watershed shall be as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Page Avenue 80' wide, with North and South Road, 50' wide, thence northwardly to the intersection of the centerline of North and/ South Road, 50' wide, with the westward prolongation of the south line of Lot 3 of Block 10 of Vinita Park Subdivision; thence eastwardly along the prolongation westwardly of the south line of Lot 3 and along the south line of Lots 3 through 14 inclusive, of Block 10 of Vinita Park Subdivision and along the prolongation eastwardly of the south line of Lot 14 of said Block 10 to its intersection with the east line of the abandoned 50' right-of-way of the St. Louis Public Service Company; thence northwestwardly, northerly and westwardly along the east and north lines of the abandoned 50' right-of-way of the St. Louis Public Service Company to the intersection of the north line of the abandoned right-of-way with the east line of Walton Road, 30' wide; thence northwestwardly across Walton Road to the intersection of the west line of Walton Road, 30' wide, with the north line of a strip of land now or formerly owned by the St. Louis Public Service Company, said north line being 267' more or less south of the intersection of the west line of Walton Road 30' wide, with the southeast line of Lackland Road 30' wide; thence westwardly along the north line of the strip of property now or formerly owned by the St. Louis Public Service Company, a distance of 449' more or less, to its intersection with the southeast line of Lackland Road 60' wide; thence southwestwardly a distance of 23' more or less along the southeast line of Lackland Road 60' wide to an angle point, being the intersection of the southeast line of Lackland Road 60' wide with the south line of Lackland Road 60' wide; thence westwardly along the south line of Lackland Road 60' wide, a distance of 520' more or less to a point, such point being the intersection of the south line of Lackland Road 60' wide with the prolongation southeastwardly of the northeast line of the 30' wide abandoned right-of-way of the St. Louis Public Service Company in Midland Boulevard, said Midland Boulevard running northwestwardly from its intersection with Lackland Road; thence northwestwardly along the prolongation southeastwardly of the northeast line of the above described 30' wide abandoned right-of-way of the St. Louis Public Service Company and along the northeast line of said abandoned 30' wide right-of-way in Midland Boulevard to the intersection of that line with the prolongation southwardly of the west lot line of Lot 22, Block 4 of Laughlin's Resubdivision of Laughlin's Addition to Sycamore Hills in U.S. Survey 192; thence southwardly along the prolongation of the west line of before mentioned Lot 22 of Block 4 Laughlin's Resubdivision of Laughlin's Addition to Sycamore Hills to its intersection with the centerline of the 30' abandoned right-of-way of the St. Louis Public Service Company in Midland Boulevard; thence northwestwardly along the centerline of the before described 30' wide abandoned right-of-way to its intersection with the prolongation northeastwardly of the west line of Brown Road 60' wide; thence along the west line of Brown Road 60' wide to its intersection with the southwestern prolongation of the northeast line of Osage Lane 50' wide in Sycamore Lane Subdivision; thence southeastwardly along the southwest prolongation of the northeast line of Osage Lane to a point 337.31 measured along such prolongation from the east line of Brown Road 60' wide; thence along a line making an angle of 37o 21' to the right of the prolongation of the previously described line southeastwardly a distance of 401.4' to a point; thence southwardly a distance of 419.5' measured along a line making an angle of 43o 29' to the right of the prolon- gation of the previously described line; thence southwardly along a line making an angle of 11o 9' measured to the left of the prolongation of the immediately before-described line a distance of 778.5' to a point; thence southeastwardly along a line making an angle of 71o 39' measured to the left from the prolongation of the immediately before described line a distance of 525.1' to a point; thence along a line making an angle of 28o 45' measured to the right from the prolongation southeastwardly of the immediately before-described line a distance of 335.4' to a point; thence continuing south- eastwardly along a line making an angle of 11o 57' measured to the left of the prolongation southeastwardly of the immediately before-described line a distance of 574.0' to a point; thence southwardly along a line making an angle of 29o 40' measured to the right of the prolongation southeastwardly of the immediately before described line a distance of 694.5' more or less to its intersection with the north line of Page Avenue 80' wide, said point being 33' west of the intersection of the west property line of property now or formerly owned by Volz Fire Clay Company and described in deed in Book 553, Page 53 in the Recorder's Office of St. Louis County, Missouri, said 33' being measured along the north line of Page Avenue 80' wide; thence southwardly 40' along a line at right angles to the north line of Page Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of Page Avenue 80' wide; thence eastwardly along the centerline of Page Avenue 80' wide to a point, said point being 175' west of the intersection of the centerlines of Page Avenue 80' wide at the angle point immediately west of the St. Louis Belt and Terminal Railway Company crossing; thence southwardly along a line at 90o to the centerline of Page Avenue 80' wide, a distance of 325' more or less to its intersection with the northwest line of the St. Louis Belt and Terminal Railway Company right-of-way; thence eastwardly a distance of 150' more or less across the right-of-way of the St. Louis Belt and Terminal Railway to the angle point in the west line of Lot 4 of Peter Schrepfer's Estate in Waltondale, said angle point being approximately 265' southwest of the southwest line of Page Avenue 80' wide; thence southwardly along the west line of Lots 4 and 3 of Peter Schrepfer's Estate in Waltondale to the southwest corner of Lot 3 of said Peter Schrepfer's Estate in Waltondale; thence southeastwardly a distance of 335' more or less to a point in the south line of Lot 2 of Peter Schrepfer's Estate in Waltondale, said point being 544.8' west of the intersection of the south line of said Lot 2 with the centerline of Walton Road 40' wide; thence eastwardly a distance of 544.8' to the intersection of the prolongation eastwardly of the south line of Lot 2 of Peter Schrepfer's Estate in Waltondale and the centerline of Walton Road 40' wide; thence southwardly along the centerline of Walton Road 40' wide, a distance of 150' more or less, to the intersection of the said centerline of Walton Road with the northern corporate limits of the City of University City; thence eastwardly along the corporate limits of University City, such corporate limits lying within the right-of-way of the St. Louis Belt and Terminal Railway), to a point 150' west of the west line of North and South Road 40' wide; thence northwardly along a line 150' west of and parallel to the west line of North and South Road (said line being part of the corporate limits of University City), a distance of 590' more or less, to the prolongation westwardly of the south line of Lots 1 through 13 of Fairham's Subdivision; thence eastwardly along said prolongation of the south line of Lots 1 through 13 inclusive of Fairham's Subdivision to its intersection with the centerline of North and South Road 40' wide; thence northwardly along the centerline of North and South Road 40' wide to its intersection with the centerline of Page Avenue 80' wide, said centerline being that for Page Avenue extending eastward from North and South Road; thence eastwardly a distance of 5' more or less along the centerline of Page Avenue. running eastwardly to its intersection with the centerline of North and South Road 50' wide running northwardly from Page Avenue, which is the point of beginning.
