Plainfield Police announces Labor Day
traffic safety campaign results
Plainfield, IL — The Plainfield Police Department issued 67 occupant restraint citations during the recent Labor
Day traffic safety campaign. In addition, 101 speeding citations were issued. Other citations and arrests
included:
- 7 arrests for driver's license issues
- 2 warrant arrests
- 39 other citations
Through the Labor Day enforcement effort, we helped to make our roads safer and reminded motorists that
obeying traffic laws helps save lives.
The Plainfield Police Department joined forces with other law enforcement agencies and highway safety
partners throughout the state for the Illinois Labor Day campaign.
The effort was made possible by federal highway safety funds distributed by the Illinois Department of
Transportation.
