AN ORDINANCE making additional appropriations to the
Office of the Executive Director and the Office of the Director of
Finance in the total sum of Fifteen Thousand ($15,000.00) Dollars,
which sum is appropriated from the unappropriated surplus of the
District, with an emergency clause.
WHEREAS, there are now no provisions for billing and
collecting sewer service charges, which function is being set up,
and
WHEREAS, there is now no Public Relations Counsel and
the need for close public relations continues, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. There is hereby appropriated and set
apart out of the unappropriated surplus of the District the sum of
Fifteen Thousand ($15,000.00) Dollars for providing public
relations assistance and for the billing and collecting of sewer
service charges, as hereinafter detailed:
Section Two.
Office of Executive Director
Personal Services $5,000.00
Total Office of Executive Director - $5,000.00
Section Three.
Office of Director of Finance Personal Services $2,500.00 Other Operating Expenses 4,500.00 Capital Outlay 3,000.00 Total Office of Director of Finance- $10,000.00
Grand Total - - - $15,000.00
Section Four. The immediate necessity for providing a
means of billing and collecting sewer service charges to provide
income for the District constitutes an emergency within the
meaning of the Plan of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
and this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 7, 1955.
