AN ORDINANCE appropriating all sums now or hereafter received
in overpayment of sewer service charges to be refunded to the
persons making such overpayment,
WHEREAS, numerous persons have made overpayment of their
sewer service charges, and no method of refunding such overpayment
is presently provided,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. All sums now or hereafter received in
overpayment of sewer service charges under Ordinance No. 40 as
amended by Ordinance No. 42 shall stand appropriated to the
persons respectively making such overpayment, and shall be
disbursed to such persons in such manner as the Board of Trustees
may be resolution provide.
Section Two. Excess payments of sewer service charges not
being the lawful property of this District, and there being no
present method of making refunds thereof provided, creates an
emergency within the meaning of the Plan, and this Ordinance shall
take effect immediately upon its adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 6, 1956.
