AN ORDINANCE determining the amount of taxes which shall be
levied, assessed and collected on all taxable tangible property in
the Maline Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District;
WHEREAS, after notice of hearing and hearing as provided in
the Plan, and after due consideration to all of the statements
made and facts adduced the Board has found that for the fiscal
year beginning July 1, 1956, it will need and require the levy and
assessment of taxes in the Maline Creek Trunk Subdistrict to yield
total revenues of One Hundred Forty Thousand ($140,000.00)
Dollars, which sum will be produced by the rate of twenty cents
per one hundred dollars ($100.00) of valuation, for the purposes
hereinafter set forth, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN
ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The amount of taxes which shall be levied on all
taxable tangible property within that part of the corporate limits
of St. Louis County lying within the Maline Creek Trunk
Subdistrict as defined and delineated by District Ordinance No.
26, adopted June 26, 1955, for the year 1956 for the payment of
bond interest on bonds of the Maline Creek Trunk Subdistrict of
the District shall be One Hundred Forty Thousand ($140,000.00)
Dollars, which sum will be produced by the rate of twenty cents
per one hundred ($100.00) Dollars of assessed value.
Section Two. By reason of the requirements of the Plan that
the amount of taxes to be levied, assessed and collected in the
Maline Creek Trunk Subdistrict of the District, lying wholly
within St. Louis County, be certified to designated County
officers on or before the fifteenth day of May, and no funds will
be available to the District for the next fiscal year for the
payment of interest on bonds of the District unless such
certification be made, an emergency exists and this Ordinance
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 14, 1956.
