HomeMy Public PortalAbout00070 O R D I N A N C E NO. 70 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities of the District. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the F. & F. Development Corporation, a Missouri corporation, and sole owner of said area, and said petition has been joined by the St. John's Community Bank, being the sole holder of the only outstanding mortgage or deed of trust with respect to said area; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is in a watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers leading to the City of Kirkwood Sugar Creek Sewage Disposal Plant, located on the west side of Highland Avenue near Dougherty Ferry Road, which has adequate capacity for treatment of such additional sewage; NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District can efficiently serve the area described as follow's: A tract of land in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 9, T. 44 N., R. 5 E. in St. Louis County, Missouri, and being more particularly described as follows, to wit: Beginning at a point on the line between Sections 9 and 10 at the intersection of said line with the east and west center line 2 of Section 9; thence Northwardly along the line between Sections 9 and 10, 1800 feet, more or less, to a point of intersection of said line with the south line of the Right- of-Way of the Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence along said South line, 5. 81 degrees 25 3/4 minutes [!. 1517.6 feet, more or less, to its intersection with the Northeast line of the Barrett Station Road; thence along said Northeast line, S. 45 degrees 01 minutes E. 441.15 feet to a point; thence S. 38 degrees 07 minutes W. 20 feet to a point on the center line of the Barrett Station Road; thence along said center line, S. 51 degrees 53 minutes E. 660.60 feet to a point and S. 36 degrees 01 minutes E. 1036.28 feet to the intersection of said center line with the East and West center line of Section 9; thence along said center line of Section 9; S. 89 degrees 25 minutes E. 55.51 feet to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed and executed by the sole owner of the area to be served, which area contains the entire portion of a watershed, the balance of which lies within the District, and that the petition praying for annexation was further signed and executed by the sole owner of the only outstanding mortgage or deed of trust with respect to said area to be served. Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include and annex the above described area. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 21, 1956.
