HomeMy Public PortalAbout00086REPEALED BY ORDINANCE NO. 176 O R D I N A N C E NO. 86 AN ORDINANCE repealing Ordinance Number 48 fixing the compensation of the Director of Finance, two Engineers, the Secretary-Treasurer, and the Executive Director, and enacting a new ordinance in lieu thereof relating to the compensation of the Executive Director, the Director of Finance, the Secretary- Treasurer, the Chief Design Engineer, the Chief of Maintenance, the Chief of Construction and the General Counsel, with an emergency clause. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Ordinance Number 48 is hereby repealed. Section Two. Effective July 1, 1956, the salary of the Executive Director shall be at the rate of $15,000.00 per annum, payable in equal semi-monthly installments. Section Three. Effective July 1, 1956, the salary of the Director of Finance shall be at the rate of $10,000.00 per annum, payable in equal semi-monthly installments. Section Four. Effective July 1, 1956, the salary of the Secretary-Treasurer shall be at the rate of $10,000.00 per annum, payable in equal semi-monthly installments. Section Five. Effective July, 1956, the salary of the Chief Design Engineer shall be at the rate of $11,000.00 per annum, payable in equal semi-monthly installments. Section Six. Effective July 1, 1956, the salary of the Chief of Maintenance shall be at the rate of $10,000.00 per annum, payable in equal semi-monthly installments. Section Seven. Effective July 1, 1956, the salary of the Chief of Construction shall be at the rate of $8,400.00 per annum, payable in equal semi-monthly installments. Section Eight. Effective July 1, 1956, the salary of the General Counsel shall be at the rate of $13,500.00 per annum, payable in equal semi-monthly installments. Section Nine. No adjustment of salaries of unclassified positions has been made since the expansion of the activities of the District in February, 1956, and the immediate need for such adjustment of compensation of such officers creates an emergency within the meaning of the Plan, and this Ordinance shall take effect on the first day of July, 1956. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 2, 1956.
