HomeMy Public PortalAbout00093 O R D I N A N C E NO. 93 AN ORDINANCE determining the amount of taxes which shall be levied, assessed and collected on all taxable tangible property in Subdistrict Number Two of the River des Peres Watershed (Vinita Park Area) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; WHEREAS, after notice of hearing and hearing as provided in the Plan, and after due consideration to all of the statements made and facts adduced the Board has found that for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1956, it will need and require the levy and assessment of taxes in Subdistrict Number Two of the River des Peres Watershed (Vinita Park Area) to yield total revenues of Seven Thousand Eight Hundred ($7,800.00) Dollars, which sum will be produced by the rate of twenty-five cents (254) per one hundred dollars ($100.00) of valuation, for the purposes hereinafter set forth, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The amount of taxes which shall be levied on all taxable tangible property within that part of the corporate limits of St. Louis County lying within Subdistrict Number Two of the River des Peres Watershed (Vinita Park Area) as defined and delineated by District Ordinance No. 23, adopted June 20, 1955, for the year 1956 for the payment of bond interest on bonds of the Subdistrict Number Two of the River des Peres Watershed (Vinita Park Area) of the District shall be Seven Thousand Eight Hundred ($7,800.00) Dollars, which sum will be produced by the rate of twenty-five cents (254) per one hundred ($100.00) Dollars of assessed value. Section Two. By reason of the fact that Section 7.150 of the Plan requires that before any general obligation bonds are issued the Board shall by ordinance provide for the collection of an annual tax on all taxable tangible property within a subdistrict sufficient to pay the interest and principal of the bonds of such subdistrict, an emergency exists and this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 6, 1956.
