AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with the Dan Foutes
Company for the construction of approximately Six Hundred forty-
five (645) feet of pipe sewers, eight (8) inches in diameter
together with all manholes, appurtenances and work required by the
plans and specifications within Special Benefit Subdistrict No.
11, located between Shannon and Jendale Avenues, north of Cozzens
Avenue in the City of Jennings, St. Louis County, Missouri, with
an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to the Dan Foutes Company for the construction
of approximately Six hundred forty-five (645) feet of pipe sewers,
eight (8) inches in diameter together with all manholes,
appurtenances and work required by the plans and specifications
within Special Benefit Subdistrict No. 11; located between Shannon
and Jendale Avenues, north of Cozzens Avenue, in the City of
Jennings, St. Louis County, Missouri, within the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 30th day of April, 1957 and signed by the
contractor and by the Executive Director and the Secretary--
Treasurer on behalf of the District on the 3rd day of May 1957 in
the following form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan,
and this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 6, 1957.
