HomeMy Public PortalAbout00132 O R D I N A N C E NO. 132 AN ORDINANCE vacating an existing sewer easement in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis vacated and abolished an alley in property of the Board of Education of the City of St. Louis described as City Block 964, except for reservation of an easement therein for The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to construct, reconstruct, replace, repair and maintain the then existing sewers, sewer pipes, manholes, inlets and appurtenances thereto then existing in said alley, all as set forth in Ordinance 48144 of the City of St. Louis approved December 26, 1956, and WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the City of St. Louis has granted to this District a satisfactory substitute easement, and this District has no further use for said easement in the vacated alley, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sewer easement in following described portion of an alley is hereby vacated, to wit: Such portion of the alley in City Block 964 of the City of St. Louis, Missouri, bounded by Carr Street, Twenty-third Street, Cole Street and Jefferson Avenue, as vacated and abolished by Ordinance 48144 of the City of St. Louis, approved December 26, 1956, as lies between a line across said alley, said line being parallel to Twenty-third Street, located Three Hundred Twenty- three (323) feet West of the west line of Twenty-third Street and extending westwardly from said line to the east line of Jefferson Avenue. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 20, 1957.
