AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with the Nash
Contracting Company for the construction of approximately four
hundred ninety (490) lineal feet of stormwater sewers, of pipe
twelve (12) inches to fifty four (54) inches in diameter together
with all appurtenances and work required by the plans and
specifications within Edna Avenue Special Benefit Subdistrict No.
17, located in the Maline Creek (City Branch) Watershed in the
northern part of the City of St. Louis between Edna Avenue, Long-
ridge Drive, and Riverview Boulevard.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to the Nash Contracting Company for the
construction of approximately four hundred ninety (490) lineal
feet of stormwater sewers, of pipe twelve (12) inches to fifty
four (54) inches in diameter together with all appurtenances and
work required by the plans and specifications within Edna Avenue
Special Benefit Subdistrict No. 17, located in the Maline Creek
(City Branch) Watershed in the northern part of the City of St.
Louis between Edna Avenue, Longridge Drive and Riverview
Boulevard, within the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th
day of May, 1957 and signed by the contractor and by the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District on
the 3rd day of June, 1957 in the following form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan,
and this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 4, 1957.
