AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with W. A. Blue
Construction Co., for the construction of trunk sanitary sewers in
the Cities of Overland and Vinita Park in Subdistrict Number Two
of the River des Peres Watershed (Vinita Park) of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to W. A. Blue Construction Co., for the
construction of trunk sanitary sewers in the Cities of Overland
and Vinita Park in Subdistrict Number Two of the River des Peres
Watershed (Vinita Park) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District pursuant to bids received and opened on the 18th day of
July, 1957, and signed by the Contractor and by the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District on
the 9th day of August, 1957, in the following form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan,
and this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 12, 1957.
