HomeMy Public PortalAbout00202 O R D I N A N C E NO. 202 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metro- politan St. Louis Sewer District to include a certain area of St. Louis County which can be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities of the District, such area being the northwest one-quarter of the northeast one-quarter of Section 14, Township 44 North, Range 5 East, which is proposed Windsor Forest Plate No. 2 Subdivision. WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has received a petition praying for the annexation of an area comprising the northwest one-quarter of the northeast one-quarter of Section 14, Township 44 North, Range 5 East; and WHEREAS, such petition was signed by a majority of the owners of land in said area, who are also the owners of more than one-half of the land in said area; and WHEREAS, because such area is within the city limits of the City of Kirkwood and therefore taxed to retire the bonded indebtedness created for sewer purposes by the City of Kirkwood, and that the sewers of the District into which the proposed sewers of such area will flow are adequate to carry such flow; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Board declares that the corporate boundaries of the District are hereby extended so as to include the area included in the northwest one-quarter of the northeast one-quarter of Section 14, Township 44 North, Range 5 East, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a stone in the northwest corner of the northwest one-quarter of the northeast one-quarter of Section 14, Township 44 North, Range 5 East, which is also a point in the boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence South 1 degree 35 minutes west 1345.03 feet to a point; thence South 88 degrees 51 minutes 40 seconds East 1347.22 feet to a point; thence North 1 degree 35 minutes East 1345.35 feet to a point, which is also a point in the boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence North 88 degrees 52 minutes 30 seconds West 1347.22 feet to the point of beginning, such line being also the boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. Section Two. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 25, 1958.
