AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 177 as adopted
January 31, 1958, which provides for the classification and
reclassification of all positions in the classified service by
grades and fixing the compensation for employees in each grade, by
repealing Grade 14, Subsection (a), Section One and enacting in
lieu thereof a new grade to be known as Grade 14, Subsection (a),
Section One of Ordinance No. 177; by repealing Subsection (b),
Section One and enacting a new subsection to be known as
Subsection (b), Section One; and by repealing Subsection (b),
Section Two and enacting in lieu thereof a new subsection to be
known as Subsection (b), Section Two of Ordinance No. 177.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METRO-
POLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. Ordinance No. 177, as adopted January 31,
1958, is hereby amended by repealing Grade 14, Subsection (a),
Section One thereof and enacting in lieu thereof a new grade to be
known as Grade 14 of Subsection (a) of Section One of Ordinance
No. 177, which.shall read as follows:

Section Two. Said Ordinance No. 177 is hereby amended by
repealing Subsection (b) of Section One thereof and enacting in lieu
thereof a new subsection to be known as Subsection (b) of Section One of
Ordinance No. 177, which shall read as follows:
(b) HOURLY RATES

Section Three. Said Ordinance No. 177 is hereby amended by
repealing Subsection (b) of Section Two thereof and enacting in lieu
thereof a new subsection to be known as Subsection (b) of Section Two of
Ordinance No. 177, which shall read as follows:
(b) The following classes may, at their election, be paid at
hourly rates upon approval of the Executive Director.
Employees electing to be paid the hourly

rate on this schedule shall not be eligible for
increment increases under Section 5.4 (b) of the
Civil Service Rules.
