HomeMy Public PortalAbout00260 O R D I N A N C E NO. 260 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities of the District. WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area therein; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is partially in a watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the centerline of Manchester Road and the southern prolongation of the West line of property now or formerly owned by Lawrence H. and Dorothy F. Tudor as recorded in Deed Book 3480 on page 136 of the St. Louis County Records, which is a point on the existing Boundary Line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence northwardly along said prolongation and along the West line of said Tudor property to the northwest corner of said Tudor property; thence eastwardly along the north line of said Tudor property to the southwest corner of property now or formerly owned by Albert G. and Esther Kaiser as recorded in Deed Book 877 on page 61 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwardly along the west line of said Kaiser property to the northwest corner of said property; thence eastwardly along the north line of said Kaiser property to its intersection with a line 720 feet west of and parallel to the west line of Ballas Road; thence southwardly along said parallel line, which is also a part of the existing Boundary Line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to its intersection with the centerline of Manchester Road; thence westwardly along said centerline of Manchester Road, which is also a part of the existing Boundary Line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation were signed by the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area of the area to be served. Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above-described area. Section Four. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 12, 1959.
