AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St.
Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and
drainage facilities of the District.
WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the
majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than
one-half of the land area therein; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is almost entirely in a
watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can
drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of
the centerline of Shackleford Road with the centerline of
Humes Lane, which is a point on the existing boundary line of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence
northwestwardly along said centerline of Humes Lane to its
intersection with northeastern prolongation of the northwest
line of property now or formerly owned by Pokres Construction
and Realty Company as recorded in Deed Book 398 on Page 217
of the St. Louis County Records; thence southwestwardly along

said prolongation and along the northwest line of said Pokres
Construction and Realty Company property to said northwest
line's intersection with the southeastern prolongation of the
northeast line of property now or formerly owned by John J.
Kramer as recorded in Deed Book 2418 on Page 58 of the St.
Louis County Records; thence northwestwardly along said
prolongation and along the northeast line of said Kramer
property to the northernmost corner of said Kramer property;
thence southwestwardly along the northwest line of said
Kramer property to the westernmost corner of said Kramer
property; thence southwardly in a straight line across
Mullanphy Road to the northernmost corner of property now or
formerly owned by Carl P. Korte as recorded in Deed Book 2930
on Page 388 of the St. Louis County Records; thence
southwestwardly along the northwest line of said Korte
property to the westernmost corner of said Korte property;
thence southeastwardly along the southwest line of said Korte
property to its intersection with the northeastern
prolongation of the northwest line of property now or
formerly owned by Francis E. Gruenloh as recorded in Deed
Book 2943 on Page 263 of the St. Louis County Records; thence
southwestwardly along said prolongation and along the
northwest line of said Gruenloh property to the westernmost
corner of said property; thence southeastwardly along the
southwest line of said Gruenloh property and along the

southeastern prolongation of said southwest line to its
intersection with the centerline of Shackleford Road; thence
northeastwardly along the centerline of Shackleford Road,
which is also a part of the existing boundary line of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to the point of
beginning.
Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation
were signed by the majority of the owners of the land in said area
who own more than one-half of the land area of the area to be
served.
Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The Metro-
politan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to
include the above-described area.
Section Four. Certified copies of this ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State.
