AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metro-
politan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis
County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage
facilities of the District.
WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the
majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than
one-half of the land area therein; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is primarily in a
watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can
drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at a point, said point being the southeast
corner of Lot 9 in Edward H. Schulte Subdivision as recorded in
Plat Book 22 on Page 26 of the St. Louis County Records, which is
a point on the existing boundary line of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District; thence westwardly along the south line of
said Schulte Subdivision to the southwest corner of Lot 5 in said
Schulte Subdivision; thence northwardly along the west line of
said Lot 5 and along the northern prolongation of said west line
to the centerline of Eaglewood Avenue, fifty feet (50') wide;
thence westwardly along said centerline of Eaglewood Avenue to the
centerline of Ashby Road, forty feet (40') wide; thence
northwardly along said centerline of Ashby Road to its
intersection with the centerline of an alley, fifteen feet (15')
wide, between Canter Way and Eaglewood Avenue, which is also a
point on the existing boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District; thence eastwardly along the centerline of said
alley, which is also a part of the existing boundary line of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to its intersection with a
line four hundred feet (400') east of and parallel with the east
line of Ashby Road; thence southwardly along said parallel line,
which is also a part of the existing boundary line of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and along the east line of
Lot 9 of said Schulte Subdivision to the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
was signed by the majority of the owners of the land in said area
who own more than one-half of the land area of the area to be
served.
Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to
include the above-described area.
Section Four. Certified copies of this ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on August 27, 1959.
