AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metro-
politan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis
County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage
facilities of the District.
WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the
majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than
one-half of the land area therein; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is primarily in a water-
shed within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can
drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of
the centerlines of Patterson Road, 40 feet wide, and Humes
Lane, 40 feet wide, said point of intersection being a point
on the existing boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District; thence northwestwardly along the centerline
of said Humes Lane, said centerline being also a part of the
existing boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, to its intersection with the southwestern
prolongation of the northwest line of property now or
formerly owned by Herman H. Meyer as recorded in Deed Book
176 on page 376 of the St. Louis County Records; thence
northeastwardly along said prolongation and along the
northwest line of said Meyer property to the northernmost
corner of said Meyer property; thence N 53o W a distance of
562.80 feet to a point; thence N 37o E a distance of 1191.96
feet to a point; thence S 53o E a distance of 786 feet more
or less to the intersection of the northwest line of property
now or formerly of H. Langewisch with the northeast line of
property now or formerly of Emelie K. Rauscher; thence N 37o
E along said northwest line of H. Langewisch a distance of
665.77 feet to a point; thence S 53o E a distance of 1090.65
feet to a point; thence S 37o W a distance of 446,98 feet to
a point; thence S 53o E in a straight line to its
intersection with the centerline of Patterson Road, said
point of intersection being also a point on the existing
boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District;
thence southwestwardly along said centerline of Patterson
Road, said centerline being also a part of the existing
boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
to the point of beginning.
Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The Metro-
politan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to
include the above-described area.
Section Four. Certified copies of this ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State.
