HomeMy Public PortalAbout00360 O R D I N A N C E NO. 360 AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation in the sum of Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) out of the unexpended and unencumbered balance of the Real Property Purchase Fund to Real Property Purchases, Account No. 7-1042, for the purpose of making an earnest money deposit as part of the purchase price of an improved tract of land in the City of St. Louis for the use of the District. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. There is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the unexpended and unencumbered balance of the Real Property Purchase Fund the sum of Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) to Real Property Purchases, Account No. 7-1042, for the purpose of making an earnest money deposit as part of the purchase price of an improved tract of land of John Hancock Life Insurance Company in the City of St. Louis for the use of the District, such tract consisting of three and one-half acres, more or less, and known as 2000 Hampton Avenue. Section Two. The Executive Director is authorized and directed to encumber the appropriation made in Section One by executing in behalf of the District, attested by the Secretary- Treasurer, an earnest money contract for the purchase of the above-described realty by warranty deed at a price not to exceed Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($600,000.00) and to secure said contract by deposit of the sum appropriated in Section One, on condition that the sum so deposited shall apply to the purchase price. Section Three. This, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 8, 1960. -2-
