HomeMy Public PortalAbout00375 O R D I N A N C E NO. 375 AN ORDINANCE vacating an existing sewer in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with suitable provisions for maintenance and connection rights. WHEREAS, the owner of the property abutting both sides of Maria Street from John Avenue to Grand Avenue, has asked the City of St. Louis to abandon Maria Street from John Avenue to Grand Avenue and John Avenue from Maria Street to Hall Street, and has requested this District to abandon the 15 inch diameter pipe sewer lying in said Maria Street between John Avenue and Grand Avenue, and has offered to maintain said sewer as a private sewer, and WHEREAS, the District finds that said owner owns all the property abutting said sewer and that no other property could readily be served by such sewer, and therefore the public has no need of such sewer, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: 1. The hereinafter described 15 inch diameter pipe sewer is hereby vacated and abandoned to the owner of the surrounding property subject, however, to the condition that the owner agrees to maintain such sewer in proper fashion, and to allow the free connection and drainage thereto from the area of City Blocks 2462 and the eastern half of 3318, including the adjacent half of the streets bordering thereon by any permittee of this District or its successors and assigns: That 15-inch diameter pipe sewer and appurtenances thereto lying in Maria Street between John Avenue and Grand Avenue in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 3, 1960.
