AN ORDINANCE, repealing unencumbered appropriations from the
General Fund in the sum of Thirty-three Thousand Dollars ($33,000.00) and
transferring the same amount from the unappropriated surplus of the General
Fund to the Real Property Purchase Fund, with an emergency clause.
WHEREAS, the Real Property Purchase Fund exists for the purchase
and improvement of real property for carrying out the corporate purposes of the
District and the existing balance therein is inadequate for the necessary
improvement of the premises at 2000 Hampton Avenue for use as the general
office of the District, and
WHEREAS, the Executive Director recommends that existing
unencumbered appropriations from the General Fund in the sum of Thirty-three
Thousand Dollars ($33,000.00) be repealed and that the General Fund surplus
thereby created be transferred to the Real Property Purchase Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The following unencumbered appropriations from the
General Fund totalling Thirty-Three Thousand Dollars ($33,000.00) are hereby
repealed: Sewer Maintenance, Personal Services (Account No 1-1062-100) in the
sum of Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($14,000.00); and to Sewer Maintenance,
Personal Services(Account No. 1-1063-100) in the sum of Nineteen Thousand
Dollars ($19,000.00).
Section Two. The sum of Thirty-three Thousand Dollars ($33,000.00)
is hereby transferred from the unappropriated surplus in the General Fund to
the Real Property Purchase Fund.
Section Three. The need of funds in the Real Property Purchase Fund
for appropriation to the improvement of realty at 2000 Hampton Avenue
constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan and this ordinance
shall therefore take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 17, 1960.
