HomeMy Public PortalAbout00409AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 2497 The following Ordinance was adopted on June 16, 1960 O R D I N A N C E NO. 409 AN ORDINANCE, establishing a subdistrict in St. Louis County, Missouri, to be known as Subdistrict No. Seven of the River Des Peres Watershed (Wellston Area) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Pursuant to a petition of residents of the District, there is hereby established a subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District within which sewer or drainage facilities may be constructed, reconstructed, or improved at the expense of the subdistrict. Such subdistrict shall be known as Subdistrict No. Seven of the River Des Peres Watershed (Wellston Area). Section Two. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. Seven of the River Des Peres Watershed (Wellston Area) shall be as follows: (SEE NEXT PAGE) 2 Ord.No. 409 WELLSTON SUBDISTRICT Beginning at the point of intersection of the northeastern city limits of the City of University City and the northwestern city limits of the City of St. Louis, said point being just north of the intersection of Skinker Boulevard and Olive Street Road; thence in a northeasterly direction along said city limits of the City of St. Louis to the point of its intersection with the south line of Etzel Avenue, sixty feet (60') wide; thence northwest- wardly along said south line of Etzel Avenue to its intersection with a line parallel to and fifty feet (50') northwest of the northwest line of Lot 3 of Block A of Gambleton's Re-Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 2 on Page 55 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northeastwardly along said parallel line to its intersection with the northeast line of Lot 4 of said Block A; thence in a southeasterly direction along the northeast line of Lots 4 and 3 of said Block A to the southeast corner of Lot 8 of said Block A; thence in a northeasterly direction along the easternmost line of said Lot 8 to the northeast corner of said Lot 8; thence northeastwardly in a straight line to the southwest corner of property now or formerly of Florence C. and Martin C. Buchholz as recorded in Deed Book 1752 on Page 391 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northeastwardly along the westernmost line of said Buchholz property and said line projected to its intersection with 3 the south line of Lot 12 of Block B of said subdivision; thence southeastwardly along the south line of Lot 12 and 13 of said Block 8 to the southeast corner of property now or formerly of Florice E. Eichler and Dorris E. thence in a southwesterly direction along said prolongation and along said west line of Wentzlick's Subdivision and along the southwestward prolongation of said line across an alley, twenty feet (20') wide, to the westernmost corner of Lot 15 of said subdivision; thence in a southeasterly direction along the north line of Whitney Avenue fifty feet (50') wide, and the southeastward prolongation of said line to its intersection with the centerline of Sutter Avenue, sixty feet (60') wide; thence in a generally southern direction along the centerline of Sutter Avenue to the point of its intersection with the northwestward prolongation of the lot line between Lots 5 and 6 of Block A of North Cabanne Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 4, pages 88 and 89 of the St. Louis County Records; thence In a southeasterly direction along said prolongation and said lot line and continuing along the southwest line of Lots 11 through 35 of said Block A and along the southeastward prolongation of said line across Williams Boulevard, forty feet(40') wide, and along the southwest line of Lots 1 through 6 of Block D of said subdivision to a point at the southeasterly corner of Lot 6 of said Block; thence in a southwesterly direction along the lot line between Lots 46 and 47 of said Block D and continuing along the southwestward prolongation of said lot line across Spencer Place and along the 17 lot line between Lots 6 and 7 of Block E of said subdivision to the westernmost corner of said Lot 7 of said Block; thence in a southeasterly direction along the northeast line of Lots 52, 51, 50 and 49 of said Block E to a point at the southernmost corner of Lot 10 of said Block; thence in a southwesterly direction along the lot line between Lots 48 and 49 of said Block E and along the southwestward prolongation of said line across Suburban Avenue thirty-seven feet (37') wide, and continuing along the lot line between Lots 10 and 11 of Block F of said subdivision to a point at the southeasterly corner of said Lot 10, said point also being on the northeast boundary of the City of University City; thence following the boundary of the City of University City in a generally eastern and southern direction across Bartmer Avenue, sixty feet (60') wide, and Maple Avenue, sixty feet (60') wide, to the point of its intersection with the western city limits of the City of St. Louis, which point is also the point of beginning;
