HomeMy Public PortalAbout00418 O R D I N A N C E NO. 418 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities of the District. WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area therein; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is almost entirely in a watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at a point on the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, which point is the intersection of the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard and New Halls Ferry Road; thence northeastwardly along said centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard to its intersection with the centerline of Old Halls Ferry Road forty (40) feet wide; thence southwardly along said centerline of Old Halls Ferry Road to its intersection with the north line of Section 19, Township 47 North, Range 7 East; thence South 1 Degree 13 Minutes 40 Seconds West a distance of 2687.09 feet to a point; thence North 89 Degrees 15 Minutes West a distance of 272.60 feet to the common boundary of Section 19, Township 47 North, Range 7 East and Section 24, Township 47 North, Range 6 East, which boundary is also the east line of property conveyed to D. G. Ulrich by instrument recorded as Daily No. 143, May 27, 1952 in the St. Louis County Records; thence southwardly along said common boundaries of Sections 19 and 24 to the southeast corner of said Ulrich property; thence North 82 Degrees 20 Minutes West a distance of 319.01 feet to its intersection with the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, thence generally westwardly and northwardly along said existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation were signed by the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area of the area to be served. Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above-described area. Section Four. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 16, 1960.
