HomeMy Public PortalAbout00425 O R D I N A N C E NO. 425 AN ORDINANCE repealing Ordinance No. 69 as adopted May 21, 1956, and enacting a new Ordinance on the same subject in lieu thereof establishing a new subdistrict in the Gravois Creek Watershed, to be known as the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. WHEREAS, residents of the District have filed with the Board a petition seeking the establishment of a subdistrict, and, it appears to the Board that the establishment of such a subdistrict is necessary in order to furnish proper and adequate sewer service and to protect the public health, and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has previously adopted Ordinance No. 69 establishing a subdistrict for construction of a trunk sewer system to serve the same area, but which area has been extended by annexations to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Ordinance No. 69, adopted May 21, 1956, is hereby repealed. Section Two. There is hereby established a subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to be known as the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. Section Three. The boundaries of the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District 2 shall be as follows: Beginning at a point which is the intersection of the southwesterly limits line of the City of St. Louis in Weber Road with the southerly right of way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence westwardly along said southerly right of way line to its intersection with the west line of Segerson Avenue (also known as Pardella Avenue); thence southwardly along the westerly line of Segerson Avenue (also known as Pardella Avenue) to its intersection with the center line of a natural stream known as Gravois Creek; thence along the meanderings of the center line of Gravois Creek upstream to its intersection with a line parallel to and one hundred and fifty (150) feet westerly from, measured at right angles to, the westerly line of Avenue "G" (also known as Zeiss Avenue); thence southwestwardly parallel to and one hundred and fifty (150) feet distant from, measured at right angles to, the westerly line of Avenue "G" (also known as Zeiss Avenue) to its intersection with the southwesterly line of Paule Avenue; thence southeastwardly along the southwesterly line of Paule Avenue to the northwesterly line of Emmenegger Avenue; thence southwestwardly along the northwesterly line of Emmenegger Avenue to an intersection with the westerly prolongation of the northerly line of the alley between Cleve Avenue and Bobring Avenue; thence southeastwardly along said westerly prolongation and along the northerly line of said alley to an intersection with the westerly line of Page 2 Pardella Avenue; thence southwestwardly along the 3 westerly line of Pardella Avenue to a point one hundred and fifty (150) feet southerly from, measured at right angles to, the southerly line of Cleve Avenue; thence southeastwardly along a line one hundred and fifty (150) feet distant from, measured at right angles to and parallel with the southerly line of Cleve Avenue, a distance of two hundred and thirty-five (235) feet; thence southwestwardly along a line two hundred and thirty-five (235) feet distant from, measured at right angles to, and parallel with the westerly line of Pardella Avenue to an intersection with a line northerly of and one hundred and fifty (150) feet distant from, measured at right angles to and parallel with the northerly line of Mt. Olive Avenue; thence southeastwardly along said line northerly of and one hundred and fifty (150) feet distant from, measured at right angles to, and parallel with the northerly line of Mt.
