AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with G.L. Tarleton
Contracting Company for the construction of sanitary sewer mains
C, D and E in Subdistrict No. Four of the River des Peres
Watershed (North Affton Area), with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METRO-
POLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to G.L. Tarleton Contracting Company, as the
lowest responsible bidder, for the construction of sanitary sewer
mains C, D and E in Subdistrict No. Four of the River des Peres
Watershed (North Affton Area) of THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER
DISTRICT, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of
May, 1960, and formally executed on the 16th day of June, 1960 by
said contractor and by the Executive Director and the Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of the District, in the following form:
Ord. No. 427
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be con-
structed being necessary for the protection of the public health,
constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan, and this
Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
