AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with Karl Kraus
Construction Company for the reconstruction of the Gimblin Street
Outfall Sewer at the Mississippi River in the City of St. Louis,
with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Karl Kraus Construction Company as the
lowest responsible bidder, for the reconstruction of the Gimblin
Street Outfall Sewer at the Mississippi River in the City of St.
Louis of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 8th day of November, 1960, and
formally executed on the 16th day of November, 1960 by said con-
tractor and by the Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of the District, in the following form:
Ord. No. 471
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer reconstruction and the sewers to be
reconstructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan,
and this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 23, 1960. -2-
