HomeMy Public PortalAbout00527 O R D I N A N C E NO. 527 AN ORDINANCE, establishing a subdistrict in St. Louis County, Missouri, to be known as Subdistrict No. 129 (North Hills Homesites Trunk) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Pursuant to a petition of residents of the District, there is hereby established a subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District within which sewer or drainage facilities may be constructed, reconstructed, or improved at the expense of the subdistrict. Such subdistrict shall be known as Subdistrict No. 129 (North Hills Homesites Trunk). Section Two. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 129 (North Hills Homesites Trunk) shall be as follows: (SEE NEXT PAGE) 2 Ord. No. 527 NORTH HILLS HOMESITES TRUNK Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the centerline of Castro Drive, 40 feet wide with a line parallel with and 150 feet east of the east line of Bermuda Avenue, 40 feet wide, said 150 feet being measured at right angles to said east line of Bermuda Avenue; thence southwardly along said parallel line to its intersection with a line parallel with and 100 feet south of the south line of said Castro Drive said 100 feet being measured perpendicular to said south line; thence eastwardly along the last mentioned parallel line to a point, said point being 214.47 feet east of the east line of said Bermuda Avenue, as measured along said parallel line; thence southwardly along a line, at right angles to the last mentioned parallel line a distance of 80 feet to its intersection with a line parallel with and 180 feet south of the south line of said Castro Drive said 180 feet being measured perpendicular to said south line; thence westwardly along said parallel line to its intersection with a line parallel with and 150 feet east of the east line of said Bermuda Avenue, said 150 feet being measured at right angles to said east line of Bermuda Avenue; thence southwardly along the last mentioned parallel line to a point being 820 feet southwardly of the northern line of Lot 15 as described in a deed to Norwood 3 Hills Corporation, as recorded in Deed Book 1816 on Page 615, St. Louis County Recorder's Office, said distance being measured perpendicular to said northern lot line; thence eastwardly along a straight line to a point being 820 feet south of the northern line and 270 feet east of the western line of Lot 14 as described in a deed to Norwood Hills Corporation, as recorded in Deed Book 1816 on Page 615, St. Louis County Recorder's Office, said distances being measured perpendicular to the said northern and western lot lines respectively; thence continuing eastwardly along a straight line to a point 700 feet southwardly of the northern line and 1030 feet eastwardly of the western line of said Lot 14, said distances being measured perpendicular to the said northern and western lot lines respectively; thence continuing eastwardly along a straight line to a point being 450 feet southwardly of the northern line and 440 feet eastwardly of the western line of Lot 13 as described in a deed to Norwood Hills Corporation, as recorded in Deed Book 1816 on Page 615, St. Louis County Recorder's Office, said distances being measured perpendicular to the said northern and western lot lines respectively; thence northwardly along a straight line to a point 170 feet southwardly of the northern line and 440 feet eastwardly of the western line of said Lot 13, said distances being measured perpendicular to said northern and western lot lines respectively; thence eastwardly along a straight line to a point 170 feet southwardly of the northern line and 4 1,000 feet eastwardly of the western line of said Lot 13, said distances being measured perpendicular to said northern and western lot lines respectively; thence northeastwardly along a straight line to a point being on the eastern line of Lot 12 as described in a deed to Norwood Hills Corporation as recorded in Deed Book 1816 on Page 615, St. Louis County Recorder's Office, said point being 640 feet southwardly of the northeastern corner of said Lot 12; thence northwestwardly along a straight line to a point on the northern line of said Lot 12, said point being 270 feet westwardly of the northeastern corner of said Lot 12; thence continuing northwestwardly along a straight line across Lot 5 as described in a deed to Emerson Electric Manufacturing Company, as recorded in Deed Book 1712, Page 442, St. Louis County Recorder's Office to a point 700 feet northwardly of the southern line and 760 feet eastwardly of the western line of said Lot 5, said distances being measured perpendicular to said southern and western lot lines respectively; thence westwardly along a straight line to a point 800 feet northwardly of the southern line and 350 feet eastward of the western line of said Lot 5, said distances being measured perpendicular to said southern and western lot lines respectively; thence northwardly along a straight line to a point on the northern line of said Lot 5, said point being 350 feet east of the northwest corner of said Lot 15; thence northeastwardly in a straight line to a point 350 feet northwardly of the southern and 470 feet eastwardly of the 5 west lines of Lot 4 as described in a deed to Emerson Electric Manufacturing Company, as recorded in Deed Book 1712 on Page 442, St. Louis County Recorder's Office, said distances being measured perpendicular to said southern and western lot line respectively; thence northeastwardly in a straight line to a point 830 feet eastwardly of the western line and 660 feet northwardly of the southern line of said Lot 4, said distance being measured perpendicular to the said western and southern lot lines respectively; thence northwestwardly along a straight line across said Lot 4 to a point 630 feet eastwardly of the western line and 850 feet northwardly of the southern line of said Lot 4, said distances being measured perpendicular to the said western and southern lot lines respectively; thence north-westwardly along a straight line to a point on the northern line of said Lot 4, said point being 380 feet eastwardly of the northwestern corner of said Lot 4; thence continuing northwestwardly along a straight line to a point on the southern line of the Wabash Railroad Right-of-Way, 100 feet wide, said point being 265 feet eastwardly of the northwardly prolongation of the eastern line of Lot 3 as described in a deed to Emerson Electric Manufacturing Company, as recorded in Deed Book 1712 on Page 442, St. Louis County Recorder's Office, said distance being measured perpendicular to the prolongation of said lot line; thence northwestwardly along the southern line of the Wabash Railroad Right-Of-Way to the southern line of the former Terminal Railroad Right-Of-Way, 100 feet wide; thence 6 westwardly along the southern line of the former Terminal Railroad Right-Of-Way to a point being 470 feet eastwardly of the northwardly prolongation of the western line of the aforesaid Lot 3, said distance being measured perpendicular to the prolongation of said lot line; thence southwestwardly along a straight line to the northwestern corner of said Lot 3, said corner also being the northeastern corner of Lot 27, Block 18 of North Hills Homesites Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 19 on Page 43, St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence westwardly, northwardly and westwardly along the northern line of Lots 27 through 19, Block 18 of said subdivision to the northeastern corner of said Lot 19; thence southwardly along the western line of Lot 19 and the southwardly prolongation thereof to the centerline of Rowles Avenue, to its intersection with the northwardly prolongation of the western line of Lot 24, Block 15 of said subdivision; thence southwardly along said prolonged line and the western line of Lots 24 through 44 of Block 15 of said subdivision to the southwestern corner of Lot 44, said corner also being the northeastern corner of a tract of land described in a deed to Edward R. and Frances E. Mackle, as recorded in Deed Book 2614 on Page 591, St. Louis County Recorder's office; thence westwardly along the northern line of said tract to its northwestern corner; thence southwardly along the western line of said Mackle Property and the southwardly prolongation thereof to the centerline of Woodstock Road, 50 feet 7 wide; thence westwardly along the centerline of said Woodstock Road to the northwardly prolongation of the western line of Lot 8, Block 12 of said subdivision; thence southwardly along said prolongation and along the western line of said Lot 8 to the southwestern corner thereof, said corner also being the northeastern corner of Lot 12, Block 12 of said subdivision; thence westwardly along the northern line of Lots 12 through 18, Block 12 of said subdivision to the northwestern corner of said Lot 18; thence southwardly along the western line of said Lot 18 to the northeastern corner of a tract of land described in a deed to Lester G. and Adele M. Turner, as recorded in Deed Book 3220 on Page 615, St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence westwardly along the northern line of said tract to the southwestern corner of a tract of land described in a deed to Elwin J. Sevier, Jr., as recorded in Deed Book 3303 on Page 292, St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence southwardly along a straight line to the northwestern corner of Lot 11, Block 2 of the aforesaid North hills Homesites Subdivision; thence southwardly along the western line of Lots 11 through 19 of Block 2 of said subdivision to the southwestern corner of said Lot 19; thence southwardly along a straight line across Blanding Drive (formerly Berkeley Drive), 60 feet wide, to the northwestern corner of Lot 9, Block 1 of said subdivision; thence continuing southwardly along the western lines of Lots 9 through 16, Block 1 of said subdivision and continuing along the southern prolongation of said west line of Lot 16 to the 8 centerline of Castro Drive; thence westwardly along said centerline of Castro Drive to the point of beginning. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 6, 1961
