AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with Faust-Smith, Inc.,
for the construction of subtrunk sanitary sewers in Subdistrict
No. 115 (Ladue-Meadows Subtrunk) with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Faust-Smith, Inc., as the lowest responsible
bidder, for the construction of subtrunk sanitary sewers in
Subdistrict no. 115 (Ladue-Meadows Subtrunk) of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 27th day of March, 1961, and formally executed on the 6th day
of April, 1961 by said contractor and by the Executive Director
and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in the
following form:
Ord. No. 530
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan,
and this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 6, 1961.
