AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with G. L. Tarlton
Contracting Company, for the construction of Gravois Creek Trunk
Sewer (Section I) in the Gravois Creek Watershed with an emergency
clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to G. L. Tarlton Contracting Company, as the
lowest responsible bidder, for the construction of Gravois Creek
Trunk Sewer (Section I) in the Gravois Creek Watershed of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 6th day of July, 1961, and formally executed on
the 10th day of July, 1961 by said contractor and by the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in
the following form:
Ord. No. 598
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan,
and this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 10, 1961. -2-
