HomeMy Public PortalAbout00619 O R D I N A N C E NO. 619 AN ORDINANCE, establishing a subdistrict in St. Louis County, Missouri, to be known as Subdistrict No. 152 (Emma and Sapphire) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Pursuant to a petition of residents of the District, there is hereby established a subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District within which sewer or drainage facilities may be constructed, reconstructed, or improved at the expense of the subdistrict. Such subdistrict shall be known as Subdistrict No. 152 (Emma and Sapphire). Section Two. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 152 (Emma and Sapphire) shall be as follows: (SEE NEXT PAGE) Ord. No. 619 EMMA AND SAPPHIRE Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Apricot Avenue, with the centerline of Emma Avenue; thence southeastwardly along the centerline of said Emma Avenue to its intersection with a line parallel with and 90 feet southeast of the centerline of Fletcher Avenue; thence southwestwardly along said parallel line to its intersection with a line parallel with and 20 feet southwest of the southern line of said Emma Avenue; thence northwestwardly along the last mentioned parallel line to its intersection with a line parallel with and 20 feet southeast of the eastern line of said Fletcher Avenue; thence southwestwardly along the last mentioned parallel line to the southwest line of Lot 35 in Block 1 of Alta Vista Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 34 on Page 62 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwestwardly along said southwest line to the westernmost corner of said Lot 35; thence northwestwardly in a straight line to the easternmost corner of Lot 3 in Block 4 of said Alta Vista Subdivision; thence northwestwardly along the northeast line of said Lot 3 to its intersection with a line parallel with and 20 feet northwest of the western line of said Fletcher Avenue; thence southwestwardly along said parallel line to its intersection with a line parallel with and 10 feet southwest of the southwest line of Lot 4 in said Block 4 of Alta Vista Subdivision; thence northwestwardly along the last mentioned parallel line to the northwest line of said Block 4; thence south 72 degrees, 44 minutes, 30 seconds west a distance of 157 feet to a point; thence south 88 degrees, 44 minutes, 30 seconds west a distance of 445 feet to a point; thence north 12 degrees, 44 minutes, 30 seconds east a distance of 243 feet to a point; thence north 5 degrees, 16 minutes, 30 seconds east a distance of 348 feet to a point; said point being on the southwest line of Shepard Hills Plat No. 2 Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 69 on Page 47 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southeastwardly along said southwest line to the southernmost corner of Lot 33 in said Shepard Hills Plat No. 2 Subdivision; thence northwardly in a straight line to the northernmost corner of Lot 32 in said subdivision; thence northeastwardly along the northwest line of Lot 31 in said subdivision to the northwest corner of said Lot 31; thence southeastwardly along the northeast line of said Lot 31 to its intersection with the southwestern prolongation of the northwest line of Lot 31 in Shepard Hills Plat No. 1 Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 61 on Page 43 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northeastwardly along said prolongation and along the northwest line of said Lot 31 to a point 55 feet southwest of the northernmost corner of said Lot 31, as measured along said northwest line; thence southeastwardly along a straight line to a point on the southeast line of said Lot 31, said point being 55 feet southwest of the easternmost corner of said Lot 31, as measured along said southeast line; thence northeastwardly along the southeast line of said Lot 31 and along the northeastern prolongation of said southeast line to the centerline of Sapphire Avenue; thence southeastwardly along said centerline to the centerline of Apricot Avenue; thence southwestwardly along the centerline of said Apricot to the point of beginning. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 11, 1961.
