AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St.
Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and
drainage facilities of the District.
WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the
owner of the land in said area who owns all of the land area
therein; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is partially within a
watershed within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and
can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the
District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center
line of Rott Road with the western line of United States Survey
2453; thence northwardly along the western line of United States
Survey 2453, (said line being the present boundary of the St.
Louis Metropolitan Sewer District), to the center line of United
States Highway No. 66; thence westwardly 2179 feet, more or less,
along the center line of United States Highway 66 to the center
line of Geyer Road; thence southwardly 598 feet, more or less,
along the center line of Geyer Road to the center line of Rott
Road; thence eastwardly 2234 feet, more or less, along the center
line of Rott Road to the western line of United States Survey 2453
and the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
was signed by the owner of the land in said area who owns all of
the land area of the area to be served.
Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to
include the above-described area.
Section Four. Certified copies of this ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 11, 1961.
