AN ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer to sell certain real estate
belonging to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, located in
City Block 1716-N to the Land Clearance for Redevelopment
Authority of the City of St. Louis.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METRO-
POLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to sell, at the price
of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00), certain real
estate belonging to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of the City of St.
Louis; said real estate is described as follows to wit: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of GAMBLE'S THIRD ADDITION TO
WEST END, Lots 24, 25, 26 and 27 of TATUM SUBDIVISION, the
Northern 120 feet of the North and South alley vacated under
provisions of Ordinance No. 40832 and the North 5 feet of an alley
adjoining said Lots 1 to 5 on the South and in Block 1716-N of the
City of St. Louis, and described as follows: Beginning at the
intersection of the South line of Clark Avenue and the West line
of Twenty-Third Street; thence West along the South line of Clark
Avenue 254 feet 2 inches to the west line of said Lot 24 of Tatum
Subdivision; thence South along the said West line of Lot 24, 140
feet to an alley 20 feet wide; thence East along said alley 100
feet to the West line of a North and South alley 20 feet wide;
thence North along said alley 20 feet to a point 120 feet South of
the South line of Clark Avenue; thence East along the Northern
terminus of said North and South alley 20 feet to the East line of
said alley at the Southwest corner of said Lot 1 of Gamble's Third
Addition to West End, thence South along said East line of alley 5
feet to the North line of property now or formerly of W. A.
Roennigke; thence East along the said last mentioned line 134 feet
1-1/4 inches, more or less, to the West line of Twenty-Third
Street; thence North along the West line of Twenty-Third Street
125 feet to the South line of Clark Avenue, the point of
beginning; together with all improvements thereon known as 2300-08
and 2318-24 Clark Avenue.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby directed to execute and deliver a general
warranty deed to the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of
the City of St. Louis for the above described property on payment
to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District of the sum of One
Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00).
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 6, 1961.
