HomeMy Public PortalAbout00647 O R D I N A N C E NO. 647 AN ORDINANCE, establishing a subdistrict in St. Louis County, Missouri, to be known as Subdistrict No. 165 (Bissell Hills) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Pursuant to a petition of residents of the District, there is hereby established a subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District within which sewer or drainage facilities may be constructed, reconstructed, or improved at the expense of the subdistrict. Such subdistrict shall be known as Subdistrict No. 165 (Bissell Hills). Section Two. The boundaries of Subdistrict No.165 (Bissell Hills) shall be as follows: (SEE NEXT PAGE) 2 Ord. No. 647 BISSELL HILLS Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the centerline of Landwehr Lane with the centerline of Bellefontaine Road; thence northwardly along the centerline of said Bellefontaine Road to the centerline of Chambers Road; thence eastwardly along the centerline of said Chambers Road to its intersection with the southern prolongation of the east line of Lot 13 in Steinmann Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 25 on Page 29 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwardly along said prolongation and along the east line of said Lot 13 to the northeast corner thereof; thence westwardly along the north line of said Lot 13 to the east line of Lot 3 in said Subdivision; thence northwardly along the east line of lots 3, 4 and 5 in said Steinmann Subdivision and along the northern prolongation of said east line to the south line of Villa Capri Manor Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 90 on Page 4 of the St. Louis County Records; thence westwardly and northwardly along the southern and western lines of said Subdivision and along the norther prolongation of said western line to the centerline of Cadora Drive; thence westwardly along the centerline of said Cadora Drive to the centerline of Bellefontaine Road; thence northwardly along said centerline to its intersection with the western prolongation of the south line of property now or formerly owned by the Bellefontaine Methodist Church as recorded in Deed Book 2146 on Page 455 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along said prolongation and along the south line of said Church property 3 to the western line of Belgrove Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 62 on Page 25 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southeastwardly along the southwest line of said Belgrove Subdivision to the southernmost corner of Lot 6 in said Subdivision; thence northeastwardly along the southeast line of Lot 6, 5 and 2 in said Belgrove Subdivision to the easternmost corner of said Lot 2; thence northwestwardly, southwestwardly and north-westwardly along the northeast, northwest and northeast lines of said Lot 2 to the easternmost corner of Lot 1 in said Subdivision; thence northwestwardly along the northeast line of said Lot 1 and along the northwestern prolongation of said northeast line to the centerline of Belgrove Drive; thence southwestwardly along sa!d centerline to its intersect|on with the southern prolongation of the east line of said Bellefontaine Methodist Church Property; thence northwardly along said prolongation and along the east line of said Church property to the northeast corner thereof; thence westwardly along the north line of said Bellefontaine Methodist Church Property and along the western prolongation of said north line to the centerline of Bellefontaine Road; thence northwardly along the centerline of said Bellefontaine Road to its intersection with the eastern prolonga-tion of a line parallel with and 800 feet north of the north line of Bissell Hills Plat No. 11 Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 60 on Page 30 of the St. Louis County Records, said 800 feet being measured at right angles to said north line; thence westwardly along said prolongation and along said parallel line and along the western prolongation of said parallel line a 4 distance of 1000 feet to a point, said 1000 feet being measured from the centerline of Bellefontaine Road; thence northwardly along a line at right angles to said parallel line, to the centerline of Missouri Interstate Highway I-270; thence westwardly along the centerline of said Highway I-270 to its intersection with a line parallel with and 800 feet east of the centerline of U.S. Highway 67, said 800 feet being measured at right angles to said centerline; thence southwardly along said parallel line to a point 3,600 feet north of the north line of Bissell Hills Plat No. 9 Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 61 on page 13 of the St. Louis County Records, said 3,600 feet being measured at right angles to said north line; thence southeastwardly along a straight line to a point 1,350 feet east of the centerline of said U.S. Highway 67 and 2,900 feet north of the north line of said Bissell Hills Plat No. 9 Subdivision, said distances being measured perpendicular to said centerline and north line re- spectively; thence southwestwardly along a straight line to a point 850 feet east of the centerline of said U.S. Highway 67 and 2,150 feet north of said north line of Bissell hills Plat No. 9 Subdivision, said 850 feet and 2,150 feet being measured at right angles to said centerline and north line respectively; thence southwestwardly along a straight line to a point 400 feet east of the centerline of said U.S. Highway 67 and 1,700 feet north of the north line of said Bissell Hills Plat No. 9 Subdivision, said 400 feet and 1,700 feet being measured at right angles to said centerline and north line respectively; thence southwardly along a line parallel with said centerline of U.S. Highway 67, and 400 5 feet east thereof, a distance of 500 feet to a point; thence eastwardly along a line parallel with and 1,200 feet north of the north line at said Subdivision a distance of 300 feet to a point; thence southwardly along a line parallel with the centerline of said Highway 67 and 700 feet east thereof, to the north line of said Bissell Hills Plat No. 9 Subdivision; thence westwardly along said north line and continuing along the western prolongation of said north line to the centerline of said U.S. Highway 67; thence southwardly along said centerline to its intersection with the western prolongation of the south line of Lot 4 of Sweetwood Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 44 on Page 62 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along said prolongation and along the south line of said Lot 4 to the west line of North Hills Gardens No. 2 Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 68 on Page 2 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southwardly along said west line to the northwest corner of Lot 108 of said subdivision; thence eastwardly along the north line of said Lot 108 to the northeast corner thereof; thence eastwardly in a straight line to the point of intersection of the centerline of Norbridge Lane with the centerline of Northvale Court; thence eastwardly along the centerline of said Northvale Court to its intersection with the northern prolongation of the west line of Lot 90 in said North Hills Gardens No. 2 Subdivision; thence southwardly along said prolongation and along the west line of said Lot 90 to the southern line thereof; thence eastwardly along the southern line of said Lot 90 to the northeast corner of Lot 62 in North Hills Gardens Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 63 on 6 Page 32 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southwardly along the east line of said lot 62 to the southeast corner thereof; thence southeastwardly along a straight line to the northeast corner of Lot 85 of said North Hills Gardens Subdivision; thence southwardly along the east line of said lot 85 to the southeast corner thereof; thence westwardly along the south line of said lot 85 to the northeast corner of lot 71 in said Subdivision; thence southwardly along the east line of said Lot 71 to the southeast corner thereof; thence southwardly along a straight line to the northeast corner of Lot 3 in said North Hills Gardens Subdivision; thence southwardly along the east line of said Lot 3 to the southeast corner thereof; thence westwardly along the south line of lots 3, 2 and 1 in said North Hills Gardens Subdivision to the southwest corner of said lot 1; thence southwardly along a line parallel with the centerline of U. S. Highway 67 to the north line of Twillman Homesites Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 46 on Page 38 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along the north line of said Twillman Homesites Subdivision and along the eastern prolongation of said north line to the west line of Bissell Hills plat No. 8, 1st Addition Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 60 on Page 39 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southwardly along the west line of said Subdivision and along the southern prolongation of said west line to the centerline of Landwehr Lane; thence eastwardly along the centerline of said Landwehr Lane to the point of beginning. 7 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 30, 1961.
